19th June 2019 After a quiet start to 2019 things are starting to look up as the horses are running well again. Last week saw Carlovian win at Nottingham under a good front running ride from Dougie Costello. It was the fifth win for him and his owners Profit Pony Racing.  'Carl', as we know him, has been a great horse since he came to us - he is regular runner and we can always rely on him ...

31st May 2019 The runners continue to seem in good form but also continue to hit the cross bar. Oliver's Gold was second for the fifth time in a row yesterday at Cartmel, he's been a legend of a horse and deserves to get his head in front, luckily the handicapper has been kind and his mark has been left alone. Quest For Life was an impressive winner at Sedgefield a couple of weeks back, it was gr...

We've had plenty of runners over the last few days and one we were really pleased to see run well was Rickyroadboy, last season he always showed us plenty of speed so it was a surprise to us when he initially started off a bit disappointing. However the penny finally dropped at Ripon last year and he strung together plenty of good efforts, he has returned this year a much stronger and more profess...

7th May 2019 The horses have been doing well over the last few weeks although there have been a couple disappoint us recently. Bit Of A Quirke has been a great over the last season or two and has made some encouraging runs at Pontefract and should no doubt be winning this season, he can surely win over hurdles too but for now we'll stick to the flat. Another who ran well at Pontefract was Rickyro...

15th April 2019 So the flat season has begun now and we've had a few runners to get things going and they haven't run without promise. Bit Of A Quirke surprised us a bit when he cruised into contention at Pontefract and stuck on for third, he was as fresh as paint the next day when we turned him out so is clearly starting to feel well with himself and all been well he will go to Beverley next wee...

Its nearing the time of year when we welcome future stars as we enter the foaling period. We have had some good foals with the few broodmares we have had; Miss Conway being the most prolific and now we are hopeful her full sister Miss Amelia will follow in her footsteps after achieving her first win last time out. Orkan is another of our homebreds out of a mare called Zefooha, and if you've seen h...

1st March 2019 Things have pretty much returned to normal with a sigh of relief now racing is back in full swing and it appears that the equine flu situation is under control. We had a very welcome winner two weeks ago courtesy of Miss Amelia owned by Cambridge People and John Craggs, all of whom have been very patient with her. She was bred by my parents and is full sister to Miss Conway who won...

It was very agonising watching at Doncaster on Friday as Miss Amelia was nailed on the line. She continues to try and lose her maiden tag and we finally got to see what she shows us at home, Daryl gave her a great ride and if she can settle a bit better she should be winning soon. Below is a picture of her (light blue colours) in front just before the line. It was great to get Half Bolly out ...

We've been a bit quiet with racing recently, but hopefully we will have a few out on the all weather in the next few weeks. We hope to run one this week at Market Rasen called Event Of Sivola. He won a Chase in France on his last start and the handicapper has given him a mark of 117 over here. It's sometimes hard to assess French form and see how it translates, however his homework has bee...

3rd of January 2019 It's a new year and a new start for the flat horses some of whom have come back in this week, however we've had a handful in for the last month or two. These are either horses returning from some time off, new ones, or some simply needed a bit of time. They'll hopefully be making their returns to the track towards the end of this month on the all weather and today we took them...
