The horses have been running well on the whole recently, and we have a busy week coming up with a  runner or two on Thursday, three at Aintree on Friday, three at Hexham on Saturday and one at York. Plenty of them with chances so I am hoping for at least one winner between them!

Woody Bay makes his season re-appearance at York on Saturday in a race that he won last year. "Woody" has been a bit of a star for us and his owner Phil Thompson since we have had him winning four times and being places a further 11 times.

Also on Saturday is the Macmillian Charity Race, one of the jockeys riding in it this year is Annie Cooke. She has a background in horse racing as she is the daughter of successful trainer Bill Elsey and was a leading amateur rider  before becoming an equine vet.

Annie has been riding out regularly  for us over the last few months while in training for the race. She will be riding Druid's Diamond whose owner Mrs Cherry Steel has kindly agreed to run in the race. Annie has held several fundraising events in the run up to the race, she is very close to her £15,000 target, please follow the link to her Just Giving page if you would like to donate please click the link below
