Dougie Costello paid us a visit this morning and he schooled 5 horses round our sand arena before he went to Nottingham to ride on the flat, he has been very successfully mixing riding on the flat and over jumps throughout the summer. Below is a picture of Tara's Rocket who is yet to run over jumps but as you can see he is a natural and I am really looking forward to him making his hurdle debut.

Below is a picture of Dark Desire, formerly trained by Collin Tizzard where he won his first race but his form has been a bit patchy since then. He will be ready to make his debut for our yard in about 3 or 4 weeks, he jumps very well and may go straight over fences.

One horse in the yard who has really impressed me recently is Cape Hideaway, he ran at Pontefract a couple of weeks ago after being off the track for over a year finishing 6th. We have struggled with him this season has he has not really been firing as he should, not carrying enough weight or eating as he should. After that race he was showing symptoms of stomach ulcers so we started him on some medication which helps heal the ulcers, since we began this treatment he has transformed and is putting on weight and looking a lot happier in himself. He is still not 100% but it's great to see him starting to look well again, below is a picture of him.
