A good week!

All our horses have run well this week, a real credit to the team and all the hard work they put in.

Monday we were at Thirsk, Oliver's Gold nearly got that elusive first flat win, he was blocked in when he was trying to make his move in the last furlong which in my opinion cost him the race.He might head for a novice chase at Hexham next time out. Southview Lady finished a running on sixth, I think there will be a lot of improvement to come from her.

Tuesday we were at Southwell with Miss Conway and Western Breeze in the same race. Western Breeze won nicely beating an odds on favourite trained by Nicky Henderson, she will now head to the sales at Cheltenham. It is a shame to have to sell a horse with her potential but I completely understand her owners decision and I think that it is the right time to sell if she has to go. Miss Conway finished 4th and finally showed a bit of the potential she shows on the gallops, she will be winning races in the future but for now she is going to have a holiday and hopefully return to the racecourse in October.

It was great to see Big Sound win again at Uttoxeter on Thursday, he is only a tiny horse but that does not hold him back in any way as he jumps fences with no problem. This win was undoubtedly his best so far, sent to the front from the start by his jockey Dougie Costello he galloped and jumped his rivals ragged winning by 4 lengths, the gallop he set was so strong that only two other horses managed to finish the race!

Today Adam's Ale was beaten into second by a short head, I was really pleased with his run but also fustrated bieng beaten by such a short distance, there will be a big win in him this season I'm sure.

Horses in great form let's hope it continues into next week!!
