Up and Down week so far

Had a few disappointments last week, I thought Lorimers Lot would win yesterday but she finished only 7th  beaten only around 4 lengths, I am sure she will come good this season maybe try a change of tactics next time.

Adams Ale who is one of our best flat horses had his first run at Redcar on Monday, he ran a nice race just tired a bit late on. I am looking forward to a good season with him, I really think there is a big race in him.

Tomorrow we run Miss Conway and Lilly's Legend at Wetherby. Miss Conway has looked very average on the racecourse so far but she works with the flat horses at home and goes better than them, I can't understand why she hasn't shown anything on the track yet although I'm sure in time she will.

I met Dougie Costello at Malton gallops this morning to school Western Breeze,  I rode Kodicil to give her a lead, both of them jumped very well. Its great for a jockey to have a ride on a horse ahead of its racecourse debut it  gives both horse and rider confidence when it comes to race day. Jake Greenall and Dougie are always happy to come and have a sit on a horse for us which is a massive help.
