Only three runners this week. Lilly's Legend who was at Uttoxeter didn't run as expected, she was flat out all the way and only managed to finish 6th. She had also been entered in a three mile race and in hindsight I probably picked the wrong one. The more races a horse runs the more you learn about them, she confirmed she is an out and out stayer and she will not run over any less than two miles six furlongs in the future.

Regal Missile ran at Redcar on Friday, since I have started training I have not been as disappointed with any of our runners. He had made a pleasing start to the season finishing a close up fifth at Haydock a couple of weeks ago and his work had improved markedly at home, I thought we had him in perfect shape for this race but the writing was on the wall after only a few furlongs when Jason started having to push him along, he managed only to beat a couple home. I can't understand why it went so wrong but the I will leave no stone unturned to find out what happened, investigative tests  will be carried out next week. So frustrated about this and I will only feel better about it when we find the answer.

Druid's Diamond also ran at Redcar but on the Saturday. He ran a really pleasing race, a bit green but will come on a lot for the run. With an  immature two year old like him we don't try and get them too tuned up at for their first run as he is a long term prospect and will get better with age and experience.

Really looking forward to next week with a few horses running with chances including, Home Flyer, Woody Bay, Big Sound, Adam's Ale, Cornborough and Oliver's Gold.
