Stalls Practise

Today we took two horses to Malton Gallops. Druid's Diamond  a two year old by Piccolo, he is half brother to many winners including Ubi Ace who won a listed race for us. He is nearing his first run and although he has done plenty of stalls work at home we thought it would benefit him to have some practice away from his normal surroundings. Jason Hart rode him and to give him a lead we took Oliver's Gold who Harry rode.  Oliver's Gold is a 120 rated hurdler who has been a real star for us, he is however very frustrating on the flat being rated  only 44 and still struggling to win on the level.

Below is a link to a video of the action, you will notice Oliver's Gold came out like a rocket with Druid's Diamond coming out well behind, he did however make up the ground quickly and overall I was quite happy with him, he will need to be a bit quicker before hitting the racecourse so he'll have some more practice in our stalls at home.

There's a busy couple of days ahead with Western Breeze tonight at Wetherby, Craggaknock at Haydock tomorrow , Woody Bay goes to Haydock on Saturday and Cornborough at York on Saturday also.
