Our horses are still running well on the whole, unfortunately three have been second in the last week,  Miss Conway was beaten a neck at Market Rasen. Lorimer's Lot ran at Catterick and was beaten half a length, Big Sound was beaten a neck also, he was second to French Seventyfive who was ridden by Emma Todd one of our staff members.  Emma who has worked for us for over 6 years now has gone from strength to strength as an amateur jockey, in this circumstance I wish she had not improved so much!!!

Another of our  members of staff who is riding as an amateur is Harry Kinder, he had his first ride over hurdles last week at Hexham on Magnolia Ridge who we train for his Dad, Howard. It was a fairytale start to his career as he rode a very patient race and brought him to the lead after the last and went on to win by 3 lengths. I was watching the race from Southwell, it must have seemed like I had a massive bet on him as I was shouting him home, unfortunately I didn't have a penny on!!

Below is a picture of Emma leading in Harry and Magnolia Ridge into the winners enclosure.

We have a fairly busy week ahead with Bit of a Quirke, Adam's Ale, Aislabie, Percy's Endeavour, Lorimer's Lot, Craggaknock, Mr Snoozy and Oliver's Gold all holding entries.
